Call for Submissions – JSC Human Rights, Equality and Diversity – Poverty in T&T

The Joint Select Committee on Human Rights, Equality and Diversity has commenced an inquiry on Persons living in poverty and extreme poverty in Trinidad and Tobago with specific focus on vulnerable groups

The inquiry objectives are:

  • To identify the challenges of vulnerable groups living in poverty and extreme poverty in Trinidad and Tobago; and
  • To examine the effectiveness of policies, programmes and services available to mitigate against the impact of poverty and extreme poverty on vulnerable groups in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Committee is therefore inviting stakeholders and interested persons to submit written comments, suggestions and recommendations on this matter.

Members of the public are reminded that submissions should observe the principles of relevance, clarity, conciseness and accuracy.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2019.
