Joint Select Committee on Land and Physical Infrastructure
(including Land, Agriculture, Marine Resources, Public Utilities, Transport and Works)
The above-named Committee is currently conducting an inquiry into the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) with specific focus on the public bus service and maintenance of buses.
During the process of an inquiry, a Committee publishes a general invitation requesting written comments from the public. Such comments provide a Committee with vital factual information that assists with acquiring preliminary insights into a matter/issue under consideration.
The Committee is inviting members of the public to submit comments pursuant to the inquiry objectives which are provided below.
Inquiry Objectives:
- to understand the current state of the public bus service in Trinidad and Tobago
- to assess the effectiveness and adequacy of existing systems and policies aimed at providing efficient bus services to the public
- to determine the challenges PTSC faces with respect to the maintenance of buses
The deadline for submissions is Thursday May 25, 2017
