Call for Submissions – Sexual Exploitation, Child Pornography and Child Prostitution

The Joint Select Committee on Human Rights, Equality and Diversity has commenced an inquiry on Sexual Exploitation in Trinidad and Tobago with specific focus on child pornography and child prostitution.

The objectives of this inquiry are:

1. To explore the extent to which child prostitution and child pornography exists in Trinidad and Tobago.

2. To evaluate the efficacy of measures which:

  • treat victims of child pornography and child prostitution; and 
  • discourage and penalise child pornography and child prostitution.

The Committee is therefore inviting stakeholders and interested persons to submit written comments, suggestions and recommendations on this matter.

Members of the public are reminded that submissions should observe the principles of relevance, clarity, conciseness and accuracy.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS THURSDAY DECEMBER 27, 2018 SUNDAY DECEMBER 30, 2018.
