The above-named Committee has commenced an inquiry into the Examination of the Treatment of Detainees at the Immigration Detention Centres (IDC) in Santa Rosa and Aripo.
The objectives of this inquiry are to:
- To determine the treatment of detainees at the Immigration Detention Centres in Santa Rosa and Aripo
- To examine the physical conditions at the Immigration Detention Centres in Santa Rosa and Aripo.
The Committee is therefore inviting former detainees, stakeholders and interested persons to submit written comments, suggestions and recommendations on this matter.
Members of the public are reminded that submissions should observe the principles of relevance, clarity, conciseness and accuracy.
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS WEDNESDAY MARCH 21, 2018.
