Inquiry into the programmes and services which provide support to victims of Domestic Violence
The above-named Committee, has commenced an inquiry into the programmes and services which provide support to victims of Domestic Violence.
The objectives of this inquiry are:
1. to determine the adequacy of programmes and services for victims of domestic violence;
2. to determine the adequacy of resources of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service for victims of domestic violence; and
3. to determine the relationship between the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Child Development and other stakeholders in combatting domestic violence.
As part of its inquiry process, the Committee is inviting all stakeholders and interested persons to submit written comments/suggestions related to the above-mentioned objectives.
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS TUESDAY 12th MAY, 2015 AT 4:00 P.M.
