Mr. Eric Willliams was elected to the House of Representatives in 1995. His father, Augustus Williams, also served in public office as Mayor of Port-of-Spain.
Mr. Williams served in opposition between 1995 and 2001 as the Member for Port-of-Spain South. In 2001, Mr. Williams was appointed Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and served in that capacity until 2005, when he resigned from Ministerial office. He would serve as Member for Port-of-Spain South until September of 2007.
Mr. Williams is a geophysicist by profession.
