On Friday February 14, 2014 the House of Representatives is expected to consider a Motion to adopt the Report of the Standing Orders Committee of the House of Representatives which proposes extensive revisions to the Standing Orders.
Among the proposed revisions are changes in the way a Speaker is elected, the introduction of Prime Minister's Question time and time limits on speeches during debate.
