This Bill seeks to amend the Constitution by adding a new section 66A. The new section 66A will enable the House of Representatives or the Senate to appoint Select Committees or Joint Select
Committees to investigate and report to the House or the Senate or, in the case of a Joint Select Committee, to both Houses of Parliament, on the powers and methods of functioning of, and
criteria adopted by, Service Commissions, and also on the powers and methods of functioning of, and criteria adopted by, Ministries, Statutory Authorities and enterprises controlled by or on behalf of
the State or in which public money is invested.
